Aligned lockstep with JIRA’s release schedule, Zephyr’s integration approach provides better stability and reliability with future versions of JIRA and is also backwards compatible with JIRA 4.x.

- Support for Activity Streams in JIRA 5 enables real-time updates to JIRA from Zephyr, allowing the larger project team to be automatically notified of major testing activities. The activities shared from Zephyr include creation of testing projects, testing releases/sprints/iterations and the start of test executions cycles. These are displayed in JIRA 5’s activity streams and dashboards.
- Support for Remote Issue Links in JIRA 5 map Zephyr test executions to JIRA issues and allows JIRA users to immediately know which testcases in Zephyr are being affected by an issue. This real-time update provides test execution statuses for defects. This significantly improves efficiency by allowing users to easily navigate from one system to the other.
- Enhanced defect filing, linking and tracking enables filing new and mapping existing defects in JIRA or Bugzilla. An enhanced interface makes it easier to file new defects into JIRA and Bugzilla from a test execution as well as associate existing defects to that execution. These new capabilities provide a real-time view of issues, more relevant traceability reports, while making it easier to manage, search, add or delete new and existing defects. The new backlink in filed defects allows users to jump back to a specific testcase in Zephyr providing yet another way to integrate defects and testcases and toggle from one to the other.
